Sacrifice of Truth and Love

This piece disturbs me. When I was working on it I didn't fully understand my inspiration behind it but continued none the less. It is probably my darkest work to date. The Angel is bound by the will of God not to interfere but to encourage Love, compassion, and Truth, as we all are. Her mission in our world is huge. Every day we throw another log on the pyre of ignorance, apathy, and hate. We outright denounce the will of God and assume we can handle things on our own. We are wrong. Be man or woman there is an Angel in all of us. We can all do some good even though our actions may seem inconsequential at times. Think of the pyre. Every act of prejudice or strong egotistical opinions adds to the flame. It must work both ways!
